Eligibility Criteria for Intending Students
At NextStep Consults, we are committed to guiding students to the right educational opportunities abroad. To ensure successful applications, students are expected to meet the following general eligibility criteria:
- Academic Qualifications: Applicants must have completed the necessary prior education level (e.g., secondary/high school for undergraduate applications, a bachelor's degree for postgraduate applications) with appropriate transcripts and certificates.
- English Language Proficiency: Proof of English proficiency is required through standardised tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE, depending on the institution and country of choice. Minimum score requirements vary by program.
- Financial Capability: Students must demonstrate sufficient funds to cover tuition, living expenses, and other associated costs. This may be through personal savings, sponsorships, or scholarships.
- Valid Travel Documentation: Applicants must possess a valid international passport and meet the visa application requirements of the destination country.
- Statement of Purpose (SOP): A well-written statement explaining the student's academic interests, career goals, and reasons for choosing the particular institution and program.
- Letters of Recommendation: Typically two or three letters from academic or professional referees are required, depending on program specifications.
- Additional Requirements: Some programs may require portfolios (for arts/design), standardised tests (GRE/GMAT for certain postgraduate programs), or interviews.
